These Terms of Service govern your use of ChessAnalyser. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you are not old enough to accept online terms in your country, use ChessAnalyser with permission from a parent or guardian.

1. The free service

ChessAnalyser provides game analysis, review tools, opening lessons, and practice at no charge. Analysis and learning work without an account. We may improve, replace, or remove features, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be available or error-free.

2. Responsible use

Use ChessAnalyser lawfully and respect the rights of others. Do not interfere with the site, bypass security or usage safeguards, place unreasonable load on the service or third-party import providers, or use the analysis tools to break tournament rules or a chess platform's fair-play rules. You are responsible for how you use any analysis or training result.

3. Your games and data

You keep any rights you hold in games, PGNs, and other material you import. You give ChessAnalyser only the permission needed to process that material and provide the features you request. Do not import material that you are not allowed to use. See the Privacy page for details about data saved on your device.

4. Accounts and sync

An account is not required. If optional account sync becomes available and you choose to use it, you are responsible for keeping your account secure. Account controls will let you stop syncing and delete your account and synced data.

5. Third-party services and software

Imports from Chess.com, Lichess, and other services remain subject to their own terms and availability. ChessAnalyser also includes open-source software governed by its own licenses. See the Licenses page for attribution and license details.

6. Accuracy and warranty

Chess analysis is an estimate and may contain errors. ChessAnalyser is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability, to the extent permitted by law.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, ChessAnalyser is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, loss of locally saved data, reliance on an analysis result, or the actions of a third-party service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service changes. The effective date above will show the latest revision. If you do not agree with an update, stop using the service. You may stop using ChessAnalyser at any time and remove locally saved site data through your browser.
